Overview

The knowledge of basic financial principles and concepts is important for any managerial position in the organization. Hence, the ‘Finance for nonfinancial Managers’ transforms financial and accounting concepts into decision making tools that managers can use successfully every day.

By attending this workshop, you will learn to apply the fundamentals of finance to improve budget management, increase potential profits, and assess the financial performance of business activities. You will also understand the terminology used by accounting and finance staff and will feel more confident when being involved with them or providing services to them ( like IT modules).

Main Objectives:

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: Define the four key financial statements: balance sheet, income statement, cash flow and changes in owners’ equity as well as key financial and accounting terms and terminologies used in organizations. Participants will also be able to understand and interpret the financial statements using ration analysis tools. They will also be able to differentiate between different cost types and how they will affect the operating profits of an organization and help them to prepare a more realistic budget.

To achieve the above objectives, the workshop will be delivered using various training tools that consist of power point presentation materials that are professionally prepared, group activities and a real practical case study through which the participants will analyze the financial position and profitability of a company.
